Bobby began his BSA career in Troop 200 in 1945 and transferred to Troop 59 in 1946.  He was a camper of Camp Currier in '46', '47', '48' and a camper at Kia Kima in '48', '49' then became a staff member on the 1950 Kia Kima staff as Asst. Waterfront Director.  He is also a member of the Order of the Arrow.  With members of Troop 59 and Troop 97 he was privileged to camp at Kia Kima during Thanksgiving weekend of 1947 prior to the cam reopening in the summer of 1948.  He sustained a serious injury in the Spring of 1961 which ended his participation in scouting for a number of years.

He began his professional career with Mallory Air Force Depot in Memphis, TN in 1952 and continued his civilian service with several agencies of the Defense Department until his retirement.  He was awarded the Meritorious Civilian Service Award from the Defense Logistics Agency upon his retirement in 1989.  After his retirement, Bobby and his wife of 55 years, Donna, move to Cherokee Village, Arkansas where he founded the Arkansas Chapter of Pilots for Christ, International.  He is an native Gideon and teacher of an adult bible class at the 1st Baptist Church of Cherokee Village.

Since the beginnings of OKKPA, Bobby, along with his close friend Bobby Williams, has been the resident guardian of all things Old Kia Kima.  Bobby has plugged many critical holes in our all volunteer organization for which we will be forever grateful.
